California International Music & Art Festival, the only comprehensive music and art competition hosted in L.A., and all profits goes to PPE donations

Hosted by the US California Music & Art Association, etc., organised by the American Southwest Chamber of Commerce, etc., the 1st "California International Music & Art Festival", which is strongly supported by the Los Angeles County Government, will hold it's grand global opening ceremony on line on September 19th, this will be the only comprehensive music and art competition hosted in Los Angeles.


It's award certificates will be jointly issued and recognized by many music and art institutions and music art production organisers.


This charity ceremony will use all the proceeds except the event funds of the event to purchase the Covid-19 protective equipment PPE, and donate to major hospitals and police and fire stations in Los Angeles within 15 days after the event.

As one of the world's major music and art competitions in 2020, the "California International Music & Art Festival" invited well-know soprano and international cultural ambassador Jane Maria, as the vice chairman of the international jury of this competition and Vice Chairman of the Co-Bureau of the festival.


Jane Maria frequently travels internationally in order to spread Chinese culture around the world. Since the outbreak of the global epidemic this year, she has been invited to participate in the judging work of many international music and art competitions with her strong professional knowledge, stage experience and fair rigorous judge work attitude.


This time Jane Maria will also present wonderful performances for the opening and closing ceremonies of the art festival to express her support for the global fight against the epidemic.

The California International Music and Arts Festival Charity Ceremony has received strong support from all walks of life around the world, including California government officials at all levels, a strong jury composed of 33 senior judges from around the world, and leaders of business and overseas Chinese.

competition rules

The California International Music and Art Festival Competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Contest") will be held online in Los Angeles from September 19th to September 26th, 2020.


1. This competition includes the following eight individual categories and four group categories: 
Individual Categories

piano (solo and concerto), violin, cello, percussion, woodwind, brass.

Vocal : classical, folk, popular, chorus.

Dance: Ballet, Western, modern, Chinese folk, oriental. (Solo, duet)

Group Categories 

dance, chorus, orchestra, Chinese folk orchestra.


2. This competition is open to musicians and artists from all over the world.

The age of the participants: 5 years old and above.

Piano, violin/cello: 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, 11-12 years old, 13-14 years old, 15-17 years old, adult group

Woodwind/Bronze/Percussion: 5-6 years old, 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, 11-12 years old, 13-14 years old, 15-17 years old, adult group

Vocal: 6-8 years old, 9-12 years old, 13-15 years old, 16-18 years old, adult group

Dance: Children's Group Juvenile Group Youth Group Adult Group

Note: The age of applicants for each competition is based on the birthday of August 1, 2020.


3. The competition will invite no more than 30 piano players, 30 violin players and 40 singers. Participants will be selected by expert judges designated by the competition organizing committee through a preliminary contest (evaluating application materials and watching videos).



Application requirements

Participating videos must be sent to the person in charge of the participating unit or uploaded to Youtube (unlisted mode) and submit the link.

The application materials should include the following documents and materials:

  • Application form
  • Copy of identification;
  • Resume (English or Chinese, about 100 words, PDF format);
  • 1 color photo (JPG format, 300dpi pixel resolution, suitable for close-up photos for publicity);
  • Graduation certificate (copy or scan, art students can provide the student ID of their college, if any);
  • Individual registration does not need to be recommended but the instructor needs to be filled in. Group registration can be registered at the music or dance or instrumental music school you are attending.  Please fill in the recommended teacher and recommended school.
  • List the programme's details in DOC format, indicating the key points, chapters, and duration of the repertoire.
  • 3-5 minutes video (videos recorded after May 2019, without editing, free choice of programme). The video should be shot from the audience's perspective by a fixed camera, without interruption in the same musical chapter. It is strongly recommended to provide high-quality videos.
  • Proof of registration fee transfer.

BRTV Spring Festival Online Gala, key support for Beijing 2022

In February 2022, the Winter Olympics meets the Chinese Year. The eyes of the world are once again focused on China, and on this prosperous engagement between the Chinese Spring Festival and the Olympics. Beijing Radio and Television Station (BRTV) took this opportunity to jointly launch "Crossing the Sea of People Just to Meet - 2022 BRTV Spring Festival Online Gala" together with TikTok. The gala was divided into 12 parts. The 6.5-hour event took stock of the annual online hotspots in 2021, interspersed with talent performances, food production and other content to create a lively and fragrant Spring Festival cultural feast.

Great love has no boundaries, filial piety travels the world! The "Filial Piety to the world" was launched in 2013, Beijing by Zhou Tienong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress, Vice Chairman of the Ninth and Tenth National Committee For the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Wu Yushao, Deputy Director of the Office of the National Working Commission on Aging. Cultures Of China-Water Cube Cup, Chinese songs global contest

Crossing thousands of rivers and mountains to gather in the cloud, passing through ten years of echoes with songs to express love. "Together, let's set off again!" the online press conference for the launching of 11th "Cultures Of China-Water Cube Cup" Chinese Songs Contest was held in Beijing on June 10. The Water Cube Cup singing competition, a national-level overseas Chinese affairs cultural brand, has been incorporated into the "Cultural China" system of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council since 2017. The competition was successfully held for ten consecutive years. More than 30,000 contestants from more than 30 countries and 50 competition areas participated in the competition. It has become the most important music and cultural event in the global Chinese community. This competition is jointly organised by Beijing Radio and Television Station, Beijing National Aquatics Center Co., Ltd., Beijing Artists Management Corp.,Ltd and IQIYI.  The online and offline methods will be combined to broadcast live on the official platforms of the competition: iQiyi, iQiyi Instant, Water-Cube official website, ChinaQW and media from participating countries.
CCTV Chinese Mother and Heroine Contest praises  virtue of mother

Co-organised by the leading cultural organisations of the British Chinese and overseas Chinese communities in the UK, the 2021 fifth CCTV Chinese Mother and Chinese Heroine UK division officially launched on International Mother’s Day. The award ceremony of each stage of the competition will be held on July 1, October 1, and New Year's Day in 2022.  The organising committee invites Jane Maria, the celebrated soprano singer and international cultural ambassador, as the vice chairman of the organising committee and judge of this series of activities.
